I can help. With respect for the dignity, individuality and needs of each client, I work in a variety of ways to achieve the best results. Beyond my clinical expertise, I bring warmth, compassion and a sense of humor to our sessions. I believe that therapy is a gateway to living a more fulfilling life and I would like to help you walk through that door.
Are you experiencing anxiety related to IVF or other fertility treatment? Are you struggling with feelings of sadness, anger or loss related to infertility?
One of my earliest observations as a therapist is the common experience and feeling of loss and longing. Loss can present in a variety of ways, including as an unfulfilled wish or life goal. Infertility and potential loss of the dream of becoming a parent are devastating. The longing to fulfill that dream can be overwhelming and can also bring out the strengths of that individual or couple as they harness their resources to make it happen.
If you are experiencing infertility, feelings of sadness, anger, frustration or shame, among many others, at times are perfectly normal responses. But if these feelings are persistent and interfering with your day-to-day functioning at home or work you might benefit from infertility counseling.
If you are considering in vitro fertilization using donor egg, donor sperm or surrogacy, it is natural to feel anxious, overwhelmed, and even depressed at times during the decision making process. However, if these feelings are impacting your ability to focus, make a decision that feels right for you and move forward, you may benefit from therapy.
